Today’s update brings Telegram to Apple Watch and Android smartwatches, adds filthy rich text for bots, lets AI admins screen new group members, and introduces smarter polls, browser controls, and much more.

Most people have at least one arm, and some of them have a smartwatch. Telegram now has apps for Apple Watch and Android Wear OS.

You can browse chats and media, read messages of any length, listen to voice messages and send replies from your wrist.

The watch apps also support everyday chat management actions, so quick replies and small tasks can happen without pulling out a phone.

Wear OS and watchOS users get native interfaces built around small screens, fast glances and compact controls.

Obscenely Rich Text Formatting for Bots

Bots can now respond with rich text that includes formatting, tables, blockquotes, checklists and inline images.

Messages from bots can contain up to 32,768 characters with compact previews for longer content.

Developers can use richer response layouts to build assistants, knowledge tools and workflow bots that feel closer to mini documents.

Long bot responses stay readable because Telegram collapses extended content behind a compact Show More control.

Guardian Bots for Group Chats

AI bots can be added as admins to process join requests, screen newcomers and help public communities stay clean.

They can present flexible mini app screens during approval flows, giving communities a configurable first line of defense.

Group owners can combine automated screening with normal moderation tools to reduce spam and low-effort join requests.

Links in Poll Options

Poll options can now include links, which helps admins add context, source material or examples directly inside each choice.

The feature makes polls more useful for channels, lessons, community decisions and lightweight surveys.

Support for MD Files

The in-app browser can render Markdown files in .md format, turning plain text documentation into readable formatted pages.

Users can open Markdown previews directly in Telegram without copying links into another app.

Quick Browser Selection

External links can open in the Telegram Browser or in another preferred app, and long pressing a link lets users choose quickly.

Telegram also provides controls for sites that should always or never open in the in-app browser.
